Jim Varney (a.k.a. Ernest )
Back in 1989 I was working at the Disney MGM Studios, it was a small store called Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind shop. It sold personal celebrity memorabilia as well as autographs and various props from movies. Jim Varney came in, I recognized him from the different movies, and he was interested in the pieces we had from Errol Flynn. Apparently his mother was a big fan and he wanted to get something for her. We had an ash tray that was owned by Errol Flynn which was very funny. On the front it showed a man and a woman with his arm around her, when you flip over the ash tray you see that the mans hand was on her butt! He loved it and bought it for his mother. He was a very nice and down to earth person!
