Whoopi Goldberg
I was at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas playing blackjack, when one of the other players asked the dealer if she had any good celebrity stories. The dealer hesitated and then said yes, but she probably shouldn’t say. Of course, the other players and I were doing our best to encourage her, but she resisted, until the pit boss came over and said she should tell us.
The dealer said Whoopi Goldberg had recently been playing at her table, which was in a very public spot by a public walkway. While she was playing, a young boy who was walking by with his parents, noticed Whoopi and stopped to ask her for an autograph.
The dealer said Whoopi immediately started screaming at the boy, saying in very colorful terms that she was busy and he was really bothering her. The boy got very upset and he and his parents quickly walked away.
I remember thinking how foolish Whoopi had been. If she had wanted privacy, she could have chosen to play in a much more private location. Plus, she totally scarred that little boy and became the subject of a very juicy story!

In my opinion, stories like this one are not appropriate here because they are hearsay and are not in the spirit of this web site, which bills itself to be “all about you and your celebrity encounters,” not about somebody else and their celebrity encounters.
The veracity of this particular story also has another strike against it: it is hearsay posted by an anonymous person!
