Lionel Ritchie
I was attending a conference in Bermuda (rough life, I know), and sitting in Bermuda’s very small airport, when walking by, heading for the executive lounge, was Lionel Ritchie, his wife and daughter (not Nicole), and at least two members of a security detail.
His family boarded before him (in COACH!), with everyone else. After everyone had boarded the Delta plane, he was escorted on, and took his seat in first class, of course. While he was walking to the plane (alone), a few saw him outside the window, and one passenger behind me yelled to his friend to inform him. At that point, everyone else tried to look–leading to the annoyance of the flight attendants.
He sat down in first class, and during the flight, I saw from coach another first class passenger repeatedly turn around to ask him questions. Lionel quickly fell asleep after that.
Upon landing, he waited for everyone else to deplane before he left the plane. A flight attendant gave him a very thick book to autograph, that no doubt had many, many other autographs she had received, as she services the Atlanta to Bermuda trip often.
When he finally got off the plane, a cart was waiting for him, with his mother waiting for him as well.
I did not say “Hello”…
